The Arnolfini Portrait by Van Eyck (1434) wormed its way into my brain about a decade ago, specifically the fisheye mirror. Van Eyck was the first painter to use this perspective. I used it as a starting point for a necklace about ten years after I first sketched it. This 9k yellow gold pendant is set with a 15mm natural milky blue chalcedony stone from Turkey on a heavy gold chain. It is a weighty, quality piece.
